Course overview
EMS providers face cardiac arrest patients who have only minutes before irreversible brain damage occurs. This interactive online course will discuss how to perform high-quality CPR with proper compression rate and depth, recognize shockable and non-shockable rhythms, and manage cardiac arrest patients using AED technology and advanced life support interventions. Additionally, you will learn to identify reversible causes of cardiac arrest using the H's and T's, provide appropriate post-resuscitation care including targeted temperature management, and make informed decisions about termination of resuscitation efforts based on current AHA guidelines.
