Course overview
This course is developed to guide healthcare practitioners through effective and ethical mentoring strategies to optimally support their staff, students, assistants, and interns in clinical and professional development. It includes a review of the benefits for both the mentor and mentee, the key modes of mentorship in daily practice, and an overview of the ethical dilemmas and subsequent solutions that supervisors may face. To further support the optimal learning experience for the mentee, course participants will be taught teaching techniques for the different adult learning styles, and evidence-based systems will be shared for systems proven to be effective in the interprofessional practice setting.
