Course overview
This Batterers Intervention Program (BIP) Facilitator Training is designed for licensed mental health professionals and certified BIP facilitators throughout the United States. The course is based on nationally recognized best practices and professional guidance published by the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), the Battered Womens Justice Project (BWJP), and the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV). The curriculum integrates the Duluth Model, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions, trauma informed principles, victim safety, offender accountability, and evidence informed facilitation strategies. Participants will develop the knowledge and practical skills necessary to facilitate Batterers Intervention Programs in accordance with nationally recognized standards and professional best practices applicable throughout the United States.
