Course overview

This advanced recertification course provides Directors of Nursing with a comprehensive, practice ready update on the most critical clinical, regulatory, and operational domains in long term care. Through evidence based instruction, case based application, and interdisciplinary problem solving, participants will strengthen their ability to lead high performing nursing teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve resident outcomes. The course integrates six essential areas of DON responsibility: Care Planning & Assessment, Infection Prevention, Fall Prevention, Pressure Injury Management, Medication Management, and QAPI/QAA. Participants will learn to apply current CMS requirements, implement high reliability clinical systems, and lead interdisciplinary teams in reducing risk and elevating quality of care.
