Course overview

This training provides crisis line workers with the knowledge and practical skills to support individuals experiencing domestic violence and intimate partner violence. Participants will review the dynamics and types of abuse, learn about effective safety planning, and practice brief, trauma-informed interventions for crisis response. After completing this training, participants will be able to: 1. Define and explain domestic violence and intimate partner violence. 2. Identify and discuss key components of a domestic violence safety plan. 3. Explain and demonstrate brief, trauma-informed interventions.
