At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Examine the regulations related to the labeling, marketing, and oversight of vitamins.
- Identify all water-soluble and fat-soluble vitamins along with their associated deficiency conditions.
- Determine the depletion of vitamins that can result from the use of prescription drugs.
- Explain the need for vitamin supplementation in particular groups, such as those dealing with alcoholism, acid suppression, and those who have undergone bariatric surgery.
