Meaningful activities are important throughout the stages of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, or ADRD. Assisted living staff play an important role in creating positive daily experiences for people living with ADRD. This course discusses how therapeutic environments, structured routines, and person-centered approaches support safety, independence, and emotional well-being. It also explains how recreational and meaningful activities can help people with ADRD stay active, engaged, and connected with others. The goal of this course is to teach staff working in assisted living about the importance of recreational activities.
