Course overview

Describe the structural anatomy of the hip, including the femur, pelvis, and hip joint articulations. Identify the attachments and actions of the extensor, abductor, adductor, and lateral rotator muscles of the hip. Describe the structural anatomy of the knee, including the tibia, patella, and tibiofemoral joint components. Identify the muscles acting on the knee, including extensors, flexors, rotators, and associated bursae. Explain the functional anatomy of the hip, including trabecular patterns of the femur and pelvis. Analyze hip joint motions and the role of capsular and intrinsic ligaments in stability.
