Course overview

This 2-hour course fulfills the Professional Ethics continuing education requirement for Florida-licensed massage therapists. Participants examine the core standards of professional roles and responsibilities, the psychological dynamics of transference and countertransference in touch-based care, the distinction between ethical dilemmas and ethical dissonance, the scope and legal limits of client confidentiality, and the boundaries that prevent dual relationships and misconduct. The course closes with Florida-specific standards for scope of practice, documentation, and mandatory reporting. Delivered fully online as a self-paced course with a final written examination.
