HIV, AIDS & Hepatitis for Peer Assisted Recovery

Course overview

The goal of this training is to increase knowledge about HIV progression and treatment, and increase awareness of the correlation between HIV/STD/HEP(A, B,&C) and TB. Participants will gain a basic knowledge about HIV/AIDS epidemic and will be able to relay this information to their recoveries; learn strategies to work with their high risk clients utilizing harm reduction techniques; gain increased knowledge about the importance of integrating services of Substance Use, Mental Health, and HIV/AIDS, housing providers and other community resources to serve their participants better.
