Course overview

After completing this lesson, the student will be able to identify principles of body mechanics and mobility; know the keys to a maintaining a healthy back; recognize the importance of posture and positioning; use lifts and other assistive devices safely; use positioning devices and avoid restraints; and help a client change positions and move around using safe practices that incorporate an understanding of simple human physiology, range of motion limitations, and basic ambulatory mechanics.
