Course overview

Low back pain is one of the most common reasons people see a doctor or miss days of work. Clinicians need up to date, evidence-based, assessment, and intervention tools to effectively treat this common condition. Evolving evidence shows new approaches to identify which patients respond best to certain treatments. Therapists can learn these newer frameworks of assessing and treating the impairments associated with low back pain. This course will outline the latest evidence on the classification approach of patients who present with low back pain, present additional frameworks by which to approach managing this condition, and identify treatment principles to help improve functional outcomes with patients experiencing low back pain. The assessment and reasoning skills gained from this course will allow the clinician to immediately apply evidence-based treatments to their practice setting and improve not only functional outcomes but patient satisfaction.
