Course overview

EOL Doula Work An End of Life Doula works with dying people and their families to create a peaceful end of life experience. This can include supporting emotional, spiritual, physical, and practical aspects of dying. A Doula might create a legacy project so the dying person can find meaning in their life and death, and they might help the family create a vigil that invites structured sacred practices to the last days and hours of a persons life. They might offer empathic listening and support or guidance through difficult choices at the end of life. Doulas coach, hold space and mediate the transition to death for people and their communities.
