Feline Dermatology: A Different Kind of Beast

Course overview

This Florida Veterinary Medical Association-sponsored webinar explores the unique challenges associated with diagnosing and managing dermatologic disease in cats. Feline skin disorders often present differently than those seen in dogs, requiring a species-specific approach to diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management. Participants will review the most common feline dermatologic conditions, including hypersensitivity dermatitis, eosinophilic granuloma complex, infectious skin diseases, immune-mediated disorders, and parasitic conditions. The course will emphasize practical diagnostic strategies, evidence-based treatment recommendations, and current and emerging therapies for feline allergic skin disease.
