This 4.5 hour advanced, self-paced online course is designed for rehabilitation professionals seeking to enhance their assessment and management of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). Through a combination of didactic instruction, real patient video demonstrations, case-based learning, and clinical application, participants will develop advanced clinical reasoning skills for the evaluation and treatment of both typical and atypical BPPV presentations. Course content includes vestibular anatomy and physiology, mechanisms of BPPV, positional testing procedures for all semicircular canals, interpretation of nystagmus patterns, and differentiation of common BPPV variants. Participants will analyze real patient examinations to improve recognition of canal involvement and underlying pathophysiologic mechanisms. The course also explores multiple evidence-informed treatment approaches, including management strategies for complex, recurrent, and multi-canal BPPV presentations. Participants will have access to approximately 4.5 hours of video instruction, multiple patient case studies, a printable clinical reference guide, and downloadable course materials designed to support integration of advanced BPPV assessment and treatment principles into clinical practice.
