Osteoarthritis affects up to 60% of cats over the age of six - yet most go undiagnosed because cats mask pain in ways that are subtle and easily overlooked. For many feline patients, chronic OA pain is quietly diminishing quality of life long before it is recognized in the exam room. In this session you will learn how to recognize feline OA earlier, explore the role of NGF in perpetuating OA pain, and be introduced to the science of long-acting monoclonal antibodies. We'll cover new safety data and clinical evidence regarding the use of antiNGF mAbs in cats and understand how to apply proper patient selection criteria. By the end of this session, participants will be able to identify OA in feline patients earlier and more consistently and confidently integrate monoclonal antibodies into their pain management protocols to improve outcomes for cats living with chronic OA
