Course overview

This presentation is a thorough review of reptile nutrition, including information on carnivores, omnivores, and herbivores. It will include limitations of commercially available invertebrate prey and how to improve their nutritional status through gut-loading and powder supplementation for commonly kept insectivores. Herbivore feeding strategies will be reviewed, including the nutritional content of common store-bought greens and correlating this to the natural feeding strategies of commonly kept herbivores. Different methods of water provision will be reviewed. This presentation will include a thorough literature review of the last 5 years.
