This introductory training offers a practical somatic lens for understanding why boundaries break down at the level of the nervous system and how clinicians can begin supporting restoration in the therapy room. Most therapists have sat across from a client who cannot say no, who absorbs everyone else's emotional state, or who seems to have no felt sense of where they end and others begin. These are not simply cognitive or behavioral patterns. They are nervous system responses, often rooted in early boundary violations that taught the body that defense was dangerous. This training offers a somatic lens for understanding why boundaries break down at the level of the nervous system and what restoration actually looks like in the body. Drawing from Somatic Experiencing and polyvagal theory, participants will explore three clinical populations where boundary rupture is common, practice embodied boundary awareness exercises, and learn practical tools for supporting clients in restoring boundary function from the inside out.
