Bite-Sized Wisdom: Dentistry for Veterinary Technicians

Course overview

This workshop is for technicians and assistants only and will empower them by increasing their knowledge in many aspects of veterinary dentistry and implement a higher level of dental care in a general practice setting. Covered topics will include a compete professional dental cleaning using ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments, performing and correcting diagnostic radiographs, instrument care and sharpening, regional anesthesia, ergonomic in veterinary medicine, treatment plans and home care tips. All the discussed items will be implemented during the hands-on wet lab portion. This course is limited to 10 technicians or assistants with one instructor and one assistant.
