Tracking # 20-1392712
Course overview
First responders face unprecedented threats from terrorist activities that are becoming increasingly common and can result in mass casualties, structural damage, and significant risks to emergency personnel. Many responders lack the specialized training needed to recognize and safely respond to terrorist incidents involving biological, nuclear, incendiary, chemical, or explosive threats. This interactive online course will teach you how to define terrorism, recognize attack vulnerability factors, and identify the five categories of potential terrorist threats and their fundamental attributes. Additionally, you will learn to distinguish terrorist incidents from normal emergencies and understand the critical importance of situational awareness and proper response protocols when facing these high-risk, low-frequency events.
