Chiropractic considerations when caring for the perimenopausal patient

Course overview

This course was made to open up the concept that a perimenopausal patient may have underlying or confounding factors to her presenting condition because of her changing hormone profile. We will be discussing different systems that are affected by sex hormones and how we, as chiropractors, can improve care outcomes by identifying why some conditions are more prevalent in this population and how this stage might influence our patients outcomes. We also discuss when it may be appropriate to refer out for hormonal consultations.
