Course overview

This instructor led DVD program is designed for agencies to train their employees. A person's world becomes limited to one room and the interactions that take place there. In this 1 hour program you will learn how to make the experience more pleasant for you and the person confined to bed. You will also learn the essential skills required when caring for someone on bedrest and how to perform the procedures safely. Upon completion of this training, the viewer will understand: the different bedrest positions and how to move someone from one position; to another using proper body mechanics; how to recognize and prevent pressure ulcers how to perform other procedures commonly used when caring for a person on bedrest.
