Course overview

This instructor led DVD program is designed for agencies to train their employees. This 1 hour program covers such topics as: the definition and purpose of HIPAA; most common identifiers for Protected Health Information (PHI); protecting your client's privacy and redirecting questions; client's right to view his/her own medical records and knowing who is authorized to receive medical information; medical records management and security including the Minimum Use requirement; proper disposal of Protected Health Information; computer security and HIPAA guidelines for telephone and fax; HIPAA penalties for individuals and agencies.
