Prenatal Massage Advanced Techniques

Course overview

This in-depth class will focus on advanced techniques for you to use with your prenatal clients; it is recommended to have basic knowledge and/or training in prenatal work prior to taking this class. In the course, Prenatal Massage Foundations, we covered contraindications, myths that surround prenatal massage, as well as proper position and draping for each trimester. In this class you'll learn about emotional, physical and physiological changes that take place each trimester so you can meet your client where they are in there prenatal journey. You'll learn how a woman's postural changes during pregnancy, muscles and joints most commonly affected, and how to relive your clients' pain in each trimester. You'll learn targeted stretches to perform on your client and a 60 minute prenatal protocol will be reviewed. You'll have even more confidence and be able to support your clients throughout their entire pregnancy.
