THIS COURSE PROVIDES A COMPREHENSIVE INTRODUCTION TO THE FUNDAMENTALS OF INFUSION THERAPY. IT COVERS THE CARE AND MANAGEMENT OF PERIPHERAL INTRAVENOUS CATHETERS (PIVCS), BEST PRACTICES FOR INFUSION ADMINISTRATION IN VARIOUS CARE SETTINGS, AND THE PROFESSIONAL ASPECTS OF INFUSION NURSING PRACTICE. THE COURSE ALSO ADDRESSES THE ANA STANDARDS OF PROFESSIONAL NURSING PERFORMANCE AND THEIR APPLICATION TO INFUSION THERAPY NURSING.
