Course overview

This course provides participants with the theoretical basis and practical applications of upper limb rehabilitation for practicing therapists. Participants will learn occupation-based evaluation and intervention for individuals with acute and chronic upper extremity disorders, such as fractures, arthritis, tendonitis, peripheral nerve injuries, and tendon repairs. Instruction will also include principles of orthotic management and training and Physical Agent Modalities (PAMs), emphasizing their clinical indications, contraindications, and safe use as adjuncts in therapeutic interventions to enhance tissue healing, pain modulation, and functional outcomes.
