Built on Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-806, this three-hour course gives assisted living staff a thorough command of the manager's personnel duties: the age, training, and documentation rules and the four qualifying routes for caregivers; basing skills and knowledge on the job description and resident acuity, and verifying competence before care; staffing adequacy, presence-and-awake coverage, TB clearance, orientation, and adult first aid/CPR; the assisted living home rules for non-resident occupants, back-up coverage plans, and nighttime hear-and-respond and directed-care checks; and building compliant personnel records under the 24-month, 12-month, and 72-hour requirements ADHS surveyors examine most closely.
