Course overview

In this 1 hour program, we learn that as our older population increases, the need for companion services is growing rapidly. This program describes the roles and responsibilities of the companion homemaker and teaches important professional, communication and social skills for success on the job. After viewing this program, the participant will understand: the roles and responsibilities of companion homemakers; the importance of positive communication; ageism; the importance of good observation skills; how to respond to medical emergencies.
