Course overview

An introductory training for attorneys, financial professionals, mental health professionals, and affiliated professionals about collaborative practice. Participants will analyze which clients and cases are the best candidates for the collaborative process, and demonstrate how to engage in the collaborative process with their clients. They will plan what questions to ask to ensure that both parties are being accommodated in the settlement process, and demonstrate how to rely on the professional team to create parenting plans, financial plans and finalize the matter. Participants will describe and compare collaborative rules, statutes and ethical standards.
