Course overview

In this course, the learner will first interpret the unique role of dopamine in neurodegenerative movement and cognition with Parkinson's Disease. They will then investigate the unique impact that Parkinson's Disease has on the balance strategies and sensory systems. To address these specialized barriers, the learner will distinguish and identify customized evidence-based balance interventions for immediate application into the clinic. The learner will leave with specific tailored activity adaptations, adapted equipment, and home modifications to enhance their skill set and expand their resource inventory.
