Running is one of the world's most popular exercises because of its low cost, easy accessibility, and its effectiveness in providing multiple health benefits. It is estimated that running and jogging exceeded 50 million participants in 2024 in the US alone. Despite running's many advantages, it is associated with a higher risk of injury versus other forms of aerobic exercise such as walking, swimming and cycling. The expectations for rehab professionals who treat running related injuries are to utilize an evidence-based approach for evaluation and treatment, prescribe appropriate exercises, and develop a successful return to run program. This innovative course will help attendees expand their knowledge of basic running biomechanics and enhance their clinical skills with performing a video run analysis. Attendees will also learn appropriate treatment strategies and progressions to take their running rehab to the next level.
