Course overview
Georgia just rewrote the rules. HB 1344 repealed O.C.G.A. 33-24-53 and replaced it with 33-1-9.2 and the biggest change is what's gone: the misdemeanor first offense. Every violation is now a felony carrying up to ten years and $200,000 per offense. This course breaks down ethical considerations of these changes along with the expansion of RICO cases that could later be used against runners and healthcare providers alike.
