This is a 2 Hour course geared for Home Health Aids and Certified Nursing Assistants that outlines Fraud, Waste and Abuse. Upon completion participants will be able to: 1. Define fraud, waste, and abuse within healthcare. 2. Differentiate fraud from waste and abuse. 3. Describe federal and Florida laws governing healthcare fraud. 4. Identify common fraud schemes encountered in home healthcare. 5. Recognize documentation practices that reduce liability. 6. Describe ethical responsibilities of HHAs and CNAs. 7. Identify methods for reporting suspected fraud. 8. Apply fraud prevention strategies in daily patient care.
