Learn moreCourse overview
Veterinary graduates enter practice with a strong foundation in physiology, pharmacology, and evidence-based clinical reasoning, yet many feel less confident discussing veterinary supplements with clients. Unlike pharmaceuticals, supplements are designed to support normal physiologic function rather than diagnose, prevent, or treat disease, requiring a different approach to evaluation and recommendation. This session provides a practical framework for integrating veterinary supplements into routine patient care. Participants will learn how to evaluate supplement quality, identify patients who may benefit from physiologic support, recognize when additional diagnostics or medical intervention should take priority, and communicate recommendations with confidence. Through clinical examples and audience discussion, attendees will develop practical strategies for navigating supplement conversations in the exam room while maintaining an evidence-based approach.
