Course overview
Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to: List the typical histological changes that may be observed in resection renal carcinoma specimens following immune-checkpoint inhibitor treatment. Summarize the impact of comparing pathological size and stage of carcinomas following checkpoint-inhibitor treatment with pre-treatment radiology. Outline the current recommendations of the International Neoadjuvant Kidney Cancer Consortium (INKCC) regarding pathological examination of resected renal carcinoma specimens, and discuss current gaps in knowledge regarding examination and staging after treatment.
