Course overview
This course provides a comprehensive review of complications associated with scleral lens wear: intraocular pressure changes, corneal edema and bullae, corneal staining, neovascularization, epithelial defects. corneal perforation, broken corneal sutures, transplant rejection and failure, hypertrophic conjunctival nodules, and visual disturbances. Participants will learn evaluation strategies and how to differentiate lens induced, patient induced, and disease related complications. Case examples and treatments will be provided.
