Course overview
This course will prepare eye care practitioners for the management of glaucoma in patients who have complex corneal conditions. Glaucoma treatment inherently contributes to adverse effects on the ocular surface through utilization of preserved topical medications and procedures that alter the surface integrity. This is especially challenging in patients with corneal disorders that depend on specialty contact lenses for vision optimization. Recommendations to limit ocular surface compromise, reduce risk for glaucoma progression, and optimize contact lens success will be discussed.
