Course overview

Obsessive compulsive disorder is a complex and debilitating disorder. Symptoms of the disorder are characterized by intrusive and persistent obsessions and compulsions. Practitioners can help clients recognize that their symptoms are part of an illness rather than a personal flaw. In this continuing education course, nurses will learn how to identify signs of OCD, distinguish OCD from other disorders, treatments for OCD, and how to help clients understand the process of recovery and treatment strategies so they can become full participants in their healing journey.
