AP You've Got Some Nerve. When Optic Nerve Cupping Is Not Glaucoma

Course overview

Optic nerve head cupping is a key biomarker in the diagnosis of glaucoma, however, it is not pathognomonic for the disease and can lead to misdiagnosis. Understanding more subtle characteristics of optic nerve head cupping and ocular anatomy is critical in accurate diagnosis of different optic neuropathies. This course will present and discuss multiple patient presentations of optic nerve cupping that resulted in a diagnosis other than glaucoma.
