The Health & Safety Institute (HSI) Instructor Development Course (IDC) is a comprehensive 7-hour program designed to prepare healthcare professionals and other qualified candidates to become effective HSI Authorized Instructors in CPR, AED, and First Aid. This blended-learning course combines online instruction with live, instructor-led training that emphasizes adult learning principles, instructional methodology, classroom management, skills evaluation, and effective student coaching. Participants will develop the knowledge and practical teaching skills necessary to confidently deliver HSI emergency care training programs while maintaining instructional quality and compliance with HSI standards. Upon successful completion, participants will be eligible to apply for HSI Instructor authorization through an approved HSI Training Center and may teach HSI CPR, AED, and First Aid courses in accordance with HSI policies.
