Course overview

Visual field (VF) testing remains one of the primary tests of visual function in clinical practice. Further, newer algorithms, such as SITA-faster in the Humphrey Field Analyser, provide a more rapid assessment of visual function but are associated with significant 'artefacts'. The major 'artefacts' include a higher rate of false positive and seeding point errors. This course will review core concepts of VF loss in ocular disease through a series of case studies. It will also provide a succinct review through case examples of how the use of the SITA-faster algorithm should be monitored.
