Course overview

This rapid-fire course will arm providers with strategies to address the functional needs of pediatric patients with low vision across the developmental spectrum. We will address key clinical challenges, including evaluating children with communication barriers, preparing patients and families for severe or progressive vision loss, and coordinating school accommodations for students. Shared emphasis will be placed on interdisciplinary collaboration, rehabilitative tools, and the resources necessary to support academic success, independence, and quality of life for children with low vision.
