Innovations in Community Suicide Prevention Training: Implementing Effective Networks of Safety

Course overview

This presentation will provide evidence from independent evaluation from LivingWorks training programs in 2 statewide projects in Australia and city-wise evaluations in Scotland that community helpers do in fact use their skills to help make their communities safer from suicide. The LivingWorks Connect platform will be introduced as a technology solution to support and empower trained community helpers. This presentation will conclude with an explanation of how LivingWorks Connect can provide the data needed to demonstrate that networks of safety are an effective component of suicide prevention solutions.
