Course overview

(EARLY BIRD PRICE ENDS 08/16/26.) LIVE Virtual training! ENSURE the Best PDPM rate before transmitting the MDS. We're real-time cross-walking PDPM CMGs, CMI, VRACs, FLI, comorbidities, function scores and more to the actual resident's condition, MDS Sections, IDT disciplines, true care provided to that resident, to obtain the highest reimbursement while ensuring supporting documentation and regulatory compliance, taught by Trish, a RN who brings the best worlds of having worked for CMS RACs/MACs AND is a certified MDS Coordinator!! You are leaving $$$$$ on the table -- and opening yourself to claw back demands of overpayment by CMS RACs and MACs -- when you do not utilize PDPM in the person-centered manner it was created to provide maximum reimbursement for each resident's care! Day 1 is Wednesday, 09/02/26 from 12:30 PM EST - 4:30 PM EST, and Day 2 is Thursday 09/03/26,from 12:30 PM EST - 4:30 PM EST. You just log back in right here each day to join the live. Live Q/A included. And unlike other courses, Not Afraid includes an optional Follow-up live virtual Q/A for this course at no additional charge (from 12:30 PM EST to 4:30 PM EST on Wednesday, 09/16/26.). So after you've had the opportunity to put your new knowledge into practice, you can come back with any questions or quirks.. Registrants will receive the virtual Follow-Up information during the course, and instructions for submitting your questions prior to the Follow-Up so we can cover every question. You can submit your questions prior to the Follow-up via the included instructions. This is REAL active-participant training; no more sitting idly by on virtual training doodling because the entire training is just pushing out some generic information, with no opportunity for you to assess your learning-by-doing during the course. Certificates of Completion (and Board-Approved CE's where applicable) awarded to each registrant! We are Actively Cross-walking with you the PDPM MDS VRACs, CMGs, CMIs, and Function Scores to Actual MDS completion and real-live Care services you provide to each resident, to obtain the highest reimbursement and know your rates before you submit that MDS to CMS while strictly adhering to regulatory guidelines. Case studies will be completed. Fun and dynamic learning scheduled to allow you to complete your daily meetings and work first, then sit down with a blank MDS form, pen, and note paper ready to work the case studies and take notes! There is an individual registration for your MDS Coordinator, and a Facility "Team MDS" registration that covers the ten people of your MDS PDPM Team. Trish is a RN and certified MDS Coordinator who brings the very rare and unique knowledge of BOTH sides of the reimbursement coin! 1) She has worked for the CMS RACS/MACs and private insurance as a RN auditor performing concurrent and retrospective medical necessity and medical record documentation reviews to determine if CMS or insurance overpaid and needs to claw back/recover that money, and never had one of her determinations overturned even if the facility appealed, and 2) is a certified MDS Coordinator who has substantially increased PDPM reimbursement for each resident while adhering strictly to regulatory guidelines. She invented the "FLI" (Front Load Initiative) to capture the highest reimbursement available for residents on the front end, going way beyond mundane "check-the-box" PPS meetings to continuously identify opportunities to increase reimbursement with supporting documentation, because increased reimbursement means increased opportunities to meet the resident's needs! She has also worked in LTC and associated entities as a multi-facility Consulting: DON in multiple states; ADON; Wound Nurse; Risk Mgr; Staff Developer; Unit Mgr; Floor/Staff Nurse; Hospice QAPI; Home Health; QA; certified ALF Administrator; and more. She has substantially increased PDPM reimbursement, and brings all this knowledge to you! Don't Miss It!!
