Course overview
Obesity is a growing public health problem with two-thirds of Americans either overweight or obese. Unfortunately, 90% of those who lose weight regain it within two years. In recognition of this problem, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid began reimbursing for Intensive Behavioral Therapy for Obesity to improve the chances of successful weight loss. This activity will educate healthcare providers about causes and consequences of obesity as well as provide them tools necessary to implement a Medicare-compliant program for Intensive Behavioral Therapy for Obesity.
