CERTIFIED MEANINGFUL USE PROFESSIONAL (CMUP)

Course overview

This course covers how Eligible Professionals (EPs) and Eligible Hospitals (EHs) under the CMS EHR Incentive Program can meet Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use requirements. EPs and EHs need to successfully attest to demonstrating meaningful use of certified electronic health record (EHR) technology to qualify for this incentive program. The 4Med CMUP program helps students understand the details of each meaningful use requirement including those related to Clinical Quality Measures, HIPAA, and Health Information Exchange and interoperability. The program also reviews the differences between the Medicare and Medicaid programs, and provides strategies for EHR adoption.
