Course overview

This 1 hour course focuses specifically on the difficulties of communicating with someone who has Alzheimer?s disease. This course approaches the issue from the perspective of the family as well as the caretaker. This course gives simple steps on how to simplify your speech and more easily communicate with a person who has dementia. After completing this lesson, the student will be able to: Identify non-verbal cues in communication such as body language; Understand the feelings and emotions behind words; Discover the power of touch.
