ETHICS AND PERSONAL RIGHTS

Course overview

This 1 hour course will teach you about ethics which is the art of knowing the right thing to do, even in confusing circumstances. Ethics and personal right are an important part of a caregiver's day to day job. This course will help you better manage those gray areas when it's hard to know the right thing to do. After completing this lesson, the student will be able to: understand the ethical approach to providing care; apply ethics in common situations; abide by the Caregiver?s Code of Ethics; recognize the client's need for and right to independence; communicate, interact and perform job tasks always in a manner that places a high value on client's need for and right to independence, personal dignity, privacy and choice.
