MEASURING VITAL SIGNS

Course overview

This 2 credit course will help the caregiver understand the vital signs that measure well-being: pulse, blood pressure, temperature, respiration, and pain. Learn what is normal, and what to do when a vital sign is outside the normal range. After completing this lesson, the student will be able to: measure and record simple vital signs; understand the meaning of vital signs; know normal and abnormal ranges; take and record the five basic vital signs; and understand pain as a vital sign of health and well-being.
