CAREGIVER FIRST AID: STROKE AND WOUNDS

Course overview

This 1 hour course covers the basics of stroke and wounds and how to respond appropriately. Time is the most important element when responding to either stroke symptoms or to a wound. By learning how to be a fast respondent through various tools, you will ensure that you have the foundational knowledge to assist. Learn to recognize subtle signs of a stroke and learn to care for a wound safely and appropriately. After completing this lesson, the student will be able to: identify when a client is having a stroke and respond properly; classify wounds; and, administer basic first aid.
